I am sorely out of practice, and it really shows.  I have a few ideas in my head of subjects I want to treat, but I haven&#8217;t found the right way yet (right being a very relative term).<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here is a rather poor sampling of what I jotted down:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>looking at her, and she looks back<br \/>\nbut he can&#8217;t hold her gaze<br \/>\ntoo long since offering his heart<br \/>\ntoo soon since it was ripped apart<br \/>\nhe doesn&#8217;t know where he would start<br \/>\nbut he&#8217;s so tired of empty, lonely days<\/p>\n<p>admiring him, and she&#8217;s relieved<br \/>\nhis eyes refused to stay<br \/>\nworried he might see inside her<br \/>\nknowing he would just revile her<br \/>\nbut wishing he would come to find her<br \/>\nshe&#8217;s so tired of empty, lonely days<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Make of it what you will.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The other night I actually sat down and tried to write some new poetry.
