So how did I do on my goals for 2011<\/a>? I’m guessing not so great.<\/p>\n

Household Projects<\/h3>\n

Let’s go with 1.25\/2.\u00a0 We successfully remodeled one bathroom, with the other one untouched and in need of some love.\u00a0 We also got the tile backsplash in the kitchen done, which was really the big thing that needed doing.\u00a0 We still need to finish the touch-up paint on the cabinets and eventually to redo the floor, but it’s much better than it was at the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

Books to Read<\/h3>\n

I read one and part of two others of the books on my list.\u00a0 I’d call this a big fail.\u00a0 I managed I Shall Wear Midnight<\/span>, part of The Book of Mormon<\/span><\/a> with my family, and most of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe<\/span> with my children, but it couldn’t seem to hold their interest long enough.\u00a0 I really need to step up my game in 2012 as far as reading goes.<\/p>\n

TV Seasons to Watch<\/h3>\n

Haven’t seen before:<\/em><\/p>\n

I made it through four items of this part.\u00a0 I tried to watch Monk<\/em>, but it just didn’t grab me and I stopped watching after eight episodes.\u00a0 Veronica Mars <\/em>was removed from Netflix streaming before I could get to it, and I didn’t get to The Flintstones<\/em> or Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm.<\/em>
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Have seen before, but haven’t yet watched my DVDs:<\/em><\/p>\n

I made it through 3.5 of these.\u00a0 The Big Bang Theory <\/em>is still sitting on my shelf, now joined by season 4, as is Mad About You<\/em>.\u00a0 Spider-Man <\/em>didn’t actually belong in this section, since I have watched it before, but I didn’t get to it this year.\u00a0 The others I watched with the exception of Life<\/em> season 2, which I started watching just after the new year.<\/p>\n

Currently airing:<\/em><\/p>\n

I got through all of these except for Bones<\/em>.\u00a0 I lost interest somewhere in season 4, but pushed through to the end of season 5.\u00a0 I haven’t had any desire to watch past that point.<\/p>\n

Movies to Watch<\/h3>\n

New this year [2011]:<\/em><\/p>\n

I watched nine out of thirteen in this category–eight in 2011, one this month–and plan to watch the remaining four at some point.\u00a0 I already bought Kung Fu Panda 2<\/em> but haven’t watched it yet, I’m planning on possibly seeing\u00a0Mission: Impossible<\/em> theatrically, <\/em>and I will catch Cowboys and Aliens <\/em>and The Muppets<\/em> on DVD.<\/p>\n

Movies I watch at least once a year:<\/em><\/p>\n

Apparently I don’t watch all of them once a year, because I only made it to 16 out of 23.\u00a0 (To be sort of fair, Firefly<\/em> is a TV show and takes longer.)\u00a0 This time I missed Iron Man<\/em>, Iron Man 2<\/em>, The Matrix<\/em>, The Matrix Reloaded<\/em>, The Matrix Revolutions<\/em>, Spider-Man 3<\/em>, and Superman Returns.<\/em>\u00a0 We’ll see how 2012 goes.<\/p>\n

Unwatched DVDs\/Blu-rays:<\/em><\/p>\n

I made it through 30 of 39 in this category.\u00a0 Still missing Chicken Little<\/em>, The Karate Kid<\/em>, The Legend of Zorro<\/em>, Nausicaa<\/em>, Pinocchio<\/em>, Rocky<\/em>, Sherlock Holmes<\/em>, and Snow White<\/em>.\u00a0 I returned The Wizard of Oz<\/em> so that’s off the list.<\/p>\n

DVDs\/Blu-rays I haven\u2019t watched since 2008 or before:<\/em><\/p>\n

Wow, there were 70 movies in this section.\u00a0 I watched 14.\u00a0 I guess there will be carry-over.<\/p>\n

Movies I haven\u2019t seen for a while, and have a hankering to watch again (hello, Netflix):<\/em><\/p>\n

I scored 3\/6 here.\u00a0 The Karate Kid<\/em> movies were removed from Netflix streaming (and I didn’t even watch the one I have on Blu-ray yet anyway), and I didn’t get to Eternal Sunshine<\/em>.<\/p>\n
